Checking On Hunting Spot

I live on the East Coast and due to all the rain, I was a little late getting into my hunting spot to check things out and to put up my tree stand.

So I finally got to my hunting spot yesterday afternoon. And as much as I love buck hunting, I am also a football fan. So I had to listen to my game on the radio on my way down to my hunting spot.

The good news is, my team won. And I got my stand up. Even better is, I saw at least four BIG bucks. What a great day!

This is what buck hunting is about.

Happy Hunting,

Spring Gobbler

I would love to have some input on what you think about Turkey Hunting.

A lot of my friends go turkey hunting, but I have yet to really catch the bug. I think it would be great between buck season – it’s certainty challenging and exciting.

But up until now, the only time I ever got a turkey was with a bow. I could go on and on, telling you an epic story of how I tried hard to get it, but the truth is, I actually stumbled upon the turkey.

Still, I can’t help but give turkey season a little more thought. I will most likely get into it when I retire. (Still a few years away.)

I know many turkey hunters are as passionate about spring hunting as I am about fall archery season.

Whatever type of archery you choose, the main thing is to LOVE IT!

Happy Hunting,

Paul

Between White Tail Deer Season

I love archery whitetail hunting, what more can I say? But in these cold months between seasons, what can you do to stay busy?

For me, I have once again taken to my basement to continue my shooting. So far, I have only hit a few of my wife’s garments she had hanging. (As I mentioned in a previous post, I shoot right over the washer and dryer).

But on a more serious note, if you aren’t already doing it… The downtime between hunting seasons is a great time to work on your shooting form. By staying sharp and working on the fundamentals now – It will surprise you to see the improvement you make by the time next season rolls around.

Happy Hunting
Paul
