End of Season
Wouldn’t you like to see a White Tail Deer like this? Image via Wikipedia
Much to my dismay, this hunting season has come to an end for me. I have to say, the last Saturday we were out, it was really windy and bitter cold. That makes it easier to put all my gear away until next season.
I love nothing more than being in the woods with nature. Over the past years I have learned that harvesting a deer is merely part of the hunting experience.
One suggestion for today is this: Keep a journal of each hunting day. I started my hunting journal back in 1991 and now, right before my hunt, I look back through my journal.
This is surprising, but when comparing days from previous years, there are undeniable similarities. For example, often I will see the same number of deer. Or a buddy who got a buck last year, sometimes gets another buck around the same day in following years.
Do you typically keep a hunting journal?
Happy Hunting,
